Migrating all other data (Admin-driven)

This article explains how to migrate contacts, calendars and files when running a self-service migration.

This support article is for Admin-driven self-service migrations only. For End-user self-service migration instructions please go here.

Our Cloudasta Email migration app only supports email migration. Fortunately, there are easy ways to get all your data (files, calendars and contacts) transferred into your new Google Workspace accounts.

Files and documents

Depending on your former solution, you will need to sign in to each one of your user accounts and download all files locally to your computer before you can manually upload them to their Google Drive account. We recommend looking at your former solution's KB database to look for detailed instructions.

Once you have your files and documents locally saved to a folder in your computer, you will need to log in to Google Drive and upload all files as explained in this Google support documentation. You will need to repeat these steps for each one of your user accounts.

Calendars

Similar to importing your users' files, you will need to log into each user account in your former solution and export your calendars for each user account.

Once you have your calendar file locally saved in your computer, you will need to log in to Google Calendar and import your CSV or ICS file as explained in this Google support documentation. You will need to repeat these steps for each one of your user accounts.

Contacts

For contacts, you will also need to log into each user account in your former solution and export your contacts file for each user account.

Once you have your contacts file locally saved in your computer, you will need to log in to Google Contacts and import your CSV or vCard file as explained in this Google support documentation. You will need to repeat these steps for each one of your user accounts.
